Tuna fish benefits

There is nothing that tastes quite like tuna. Whether it be in steak, sushi or canned form, tuna is not only delicious but provides all the things that an athlete could need!

Aside the contributions to brain development and circulation, omega-3 fatty acids are excellent in improving energy levels and even help reduce inflammation caused by rigorous exercise. They are also fantastic for your heart.

This anti-oxidant is great for fighting off disease, infections or colds, which is certainly important in the run up to a competition.

Vitamin B
When it comes to red blood cells, those useful little things that carry oxygen to our bodies, we need vitamin B to help build them up.

Tuna is made up of lean protein, meaning it’s perfect for building muscle and providing the body with energy. Experts also say that eating protein-rich foods like this will help you feeling fuller, longer. An excellent way to have tuna – and an especially good idea for those bread-avoiders among us – is healthy tuna lettuce wraps.
