Players stand on opposite sides of the court, one person serves the ball, and another receives the ball. A toss of the coin at the start decides where the player(s) stand and who serves or receives. Whether the game is a singles or doubles match effects standing positions.

The games begins when the ball is hit towards the opponent(s), as long as the ball bounces once, doesn’t hit the net, or is not ‘out’, it is returned.

The first player to win four points, wins a game. The first player to win six games, wins a set. If both players stand on five games all, one player must be two games ahead to win the set. A player(s) needs to win three out of five sets to win the match but must have won the final set by two games.
