HIT THE TRACK!

The London 2012 Olympics showed that Britain has some incredible inspiring talent on its soil. With track successes from athletes like Mo Farah and Jess Ennis, interest in athletics continues to grow. Whatever your age or aspirations there are clubs all over the country ready to welcome you. This summer is another exciting time for British Athletics, with the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow and IPC European Championships in Swansea. In 2017 the world returns to London’s Olympic Stadium for the IAAF and IPC World Championships. There is so much to be gained by getting into athletics and with British Athletics there is a plethora of ways to get started. 

 
JOIN THE CLUB

With hundreds of athletics clubs throughout the UK, you can take your first step in athletics any time anywhere. British Athletics have all you need to find and contact your closest club visit and learn about schemes for youngsters. 

COACHING

Coaches are vital to the fostering of talent across the country and becoming one is easier than you might think. You can get involved with athletics coaching in a number of ways and there are various courses available. British Athletics’ world-leading uCoach resource contains all the information you will need.

VOLUNTEER

Volunteers are another invaluable part of the athletics community. Without them, the sport would not be what it is today! British Athletics is committed to supporting the development of volunteers and providing opportunities for people to get involved. 

OFFICIATING
