The right coaching qualifications from your specific sport’s governing body not only helps develop essential skills and knowledge but are essential for you to be recognised as an authority in your field. They’ll also give you the confidence to nurture yourself and others. Coaching qualifications come in three Levels:
Level 1
Builds and develops coaching skills, also assisting other coaches in delivering activities to adults and youths.
Level 2
Develops your ability to lead sessions and review practices, enhancing your experience.
Level 3
Prepares you for specific high-performance coaching from planning and analysis to tactics.

Coaching any sport carries risks of injury to participants and yourself. You can minimise these risks with comprehensive insurance coverage.
Not all insurance policies are the same but UK Coaching can help guide you. A few key elements you need to look out for are:
Public liability insurance covers you from advice or products used.
Professional indemnity insurance covers financial loss from advice or copyright breaches.
Personal accident cover protects you against injuries while you’re coaching.
Online and virtual training cover ensures coverage for remote online coaching activities.

Independent coach is 18+ years, coaching assistant is 16+ years
