Discover some of the many ways to secure funding for your table tennis club

Sport England’s Movement Fund offers grants between £300 and £15,000 to support projects that help people get active. There’s no deadline to apply, and decisions are usually made within six weeks.

Applicants must show how they’ll increase physical activity, involve their community, and support specific groups. Funding may be given as a direct grant or as a crowdfunding pledge – covering 50% of your target if you raise the rest. Eligibility rules apply, and support is available throughout the application process. Full guidance and application details are available at Sport England’s website or via their funding helpline.

UK Community foundations are place-based charities that fund local projects based on the specific needs of their area. They connect donors to trusted causes, offering tailored advice to maximise impact. While UKCF coordinates funding nationally, grants are distributed by local foundations – searchable by postcode.

Active Partnerships support local clubs and communities to boost physical activity and wellbeing. There are 42 of them across England offering expert guidance and have strong knowledge of funding opportunities. To find support, visit your local Active Partnership’s website, use the search term “Funding,” or contact them directly for advice.
