Become a young ambassador

A partnership of golf organisations is championing young people to take the sport in new directions

England Golf, in collaboration with the Golf Foundation, annually recruits a team of dedicated young volunteers to join its Young Ambassadors programme – a nationwide initiative that gives 14–22-year-olds the chance to shape the future of the sport.

This inspiring group represents the voice of young people in golf, championing the game through the values of being Inclusive, Innovative, and Inspiring. Whether they are experienced players or simply passionate about sport and leadership, Young Ambassadors contribute to the development, promotion, and governance of golf at all levels.

Selected individuals take part in projects that support junior golf, grow participation in schools and communities, and ensure young voices are heard in shaping the direction of the game. In return, they gain valuable experience in communication, teamwork, and leadership.

Crucially, being a golfer is not a requirement – the programme values enthusiasm, proactivity, and a desire to make a difference. It is open to those keen to inspire others, drive positive change, and promote greater inclusion in golf.

Applications are now open for the next intake of Young Ambassadors. Discover more at the Golf Foundation and at England Golf
