Get back to your roots

Exposure to nature has crucial benefits for our emotional health and wellbeing, so why not accent a corner of your space with a fern, snake plant or parlour palm? It’ll help to purify the air and increase oxygen levels, too.

Light it just right

Bright overhead lighting can help to ramp up cortisol and curb melatonin production (needed for good sleep) so consider installing a dimmer switch or investing in a set of adjustable floor lamps.

Make it techfree

If you’d like your wellness hub to be a digital detox zone, invest in some low- or no-tech gym equipment. Lagree offers mini Reformer Pilates machines that you can rent or buy.

Add some gym basics

“The eff ectiveness of a workout comes from the exercise not the equipment,” explains Shona Vertue. “All you need is a mat, a chair and some dumbbells
or kettlebells.” Bala bangles and resistance bands take little space.

Make it simply scent-sational

Invest in a burner or diffuser and experiment with aromatherapy. Citrus can energise, while calming fragrances like lavender, bergamot and chamomile can help you shortcut to ncalmness and zen.
