When to go

September to May is the prime time for waves in Ireland, when the Atlantic swells are most powerful, but you can surf year-round.

What to wear

You will need at least 3mm of neoprene in summer and autumn, and 5mm in winter and spring. Hood, gloves and booties are advisedin the colder months.

Wetsuits and foam and hard boards can be rented from 7th Wave Surf School in Enniscrone.
