Awesome autumn breakfasts
Brekkies to brighten even the dullest of autumn days
Don’t mourn the loss of summer, celebrate instead the glorious autumn and use it as the perfect excuse to enjoy some healthy but indulgent breakfasts.
Potatoes for brekkie!
We love this recipe for Sweet Potato Breakfast Bowl as it’s not your typical go-to, start-the-day dish, but it’s delicious and has lots of health benefits too. Be daring, switch up your routine and certainly get a quirky Insta post out of it. Sweet potatoes can help support your digestive system and immune system, plus they’re nice and filling.
The raisins (we popped in Sun-Maid) in the recipe are a fat-free and full-of-goodness addition too. The recipe is easy to prep and whilst cook time isn’t super quick, you can make a big batch to keep you going for a week!
Shopping list:
16 oz sweet potato
2 tbsp Sun-Maid California Sun-dried raisins
2 tbsp chopped nuts
2 tbsp almond butter
Cinnamon, to taste
Honey or half small, slightly ripe mashed banana, to taste (optional)

Go go granola!
We found this Maple Cinnamon Raisin Granola recipe rather irresistible, not to mention flexible... have it for brekkie or save some for a healthy but moreish snack. It only takes 20 minutes to prep and another 20 to cook and you’ll be able to serve with milk, on top of natural yoghurt or even grab by the handful when you’re watching a movie. The oat and raisin combination is great news for health – oats can help reduce cholesterol whilst raisins are fat free and packed with fibre.
Shopping list:
3 cups oats
2 tsp cinnamon
2 tsp vanilla extract
½ tsp salt
½ cup maple syrup
½ cup vegetable oil or coconut oil
½ cup Sun-Maid California Sun-Dried Raisins

Breakfast in your pocket
Running late? Sometimes we need a breakfast that we can literally grab and go, so it’s always a good idea to have something like these Oatmeal Raisin Bars ready to accompany you on the bus or tube. They’re soft-baked and bursting with plump, juicy raisins (again, we opted for the finest, Sun-Maid). They taste like a big old sugary treat, but the sweet fix is all totally natural, good for you and 100% vegan.
Shopping list (just four things to pop in your trolley!):
Rolled oats
Peanut butter
Banana
Sun-Maid California Sun-Dried Raisins
