The TaylorMade P·790 irons range fuses art and engineering, marrying clean design with high-performance technology
For this fourth generation of P·790s, each iron is a masterpiece of precision design, weighting, and SpeedFoam™ Air technology.
This new range incorporates TaylorMade’s FLTD CG™, or Flighted Centre of Gravity which strategically places the centre of gravity lower in long irons for easier launch - and higher for control in shorter irons.
For your game the design allows more forgiveness in the long irons - while the shorter, weaker lofted irons are designed to control ball flight and optimise spin.
TaylorMade’s Matt Bovee, Director of Irons in Product Creation explains that; "The allure lies not only in the clean design and visual appeal, but also in the high-performance machine that lives within.”
AI-driven mass optimisation also ensures optimal weight placement in every iron, while a sound-stabilisation bar minimises vibrations for a premium feel.
The 2023 P·790 irons still feature proven technical elements such as SpeedFoam™ Air - which is now 69% less dense than the original SpeedFoam. A staple of TaylorMade designs - the Thru-Slot Speed Pocket™ - also helps to expand the sweet spot while protecting ball speeds on low face strikes.
P·790 irons have an RRP per iron of £172 for steel and £200 for graphite and come equipped with Golf Pride’s Z Grip. Custom ordering is available with various shaft and grip options.
