Community fitness/activity has always been focused around creating supportive spaces that offer a comforting sense of belonging, and the ActiveWestminster Awards offers the perfect opportunity to champion both the pioneering organisations and trailblazing individuals and projects that have gone above and beyond to revolutionise the fitness/activity landscape of those who live, work and study in Westminster.
Making a difference
The year marks the 15th annual edition of the prestigious ActiveWestminster Awards and there are nine separate categories open for public nomination. These include the highly acclaimed Sports Personality of The Year Award (open to anyone aged 12 and over), along with the prestigious Lord Mayor of Westminster Unsung Hero Award which celebrates individuals who have gone to extraordinary lengths to promote sport/physical activity in the community. There are also categories dedicated to inspirational clubs and coaches, life changing projects, and schools that deserve recognition for their outstanding achievements in encouraging greater activity levels.
Those that make the shortlist will be invited to a glittering awards ceremony later this year, and the deserving winners will walk away with some incredible prizes.
