It’s extremely easy to get started in badminton. First off you need a court to play in, but once you find that, there are just a few other items to pick up.

Clothing: Comfortable clothes are the best idea, but you also want to be sure that you can move around in them easily.

Footwear: Badminton shoes need some great grip and be sure to stay away from black soles (they are not allowed!)

Racket: If you’re serious about starting up, don’t go too cheap on a racket! Buying a racket is about finding the right balance between power and flexibility.

Shuttlecock: You can get plastic or feathered shuttlecocks, but plastic is better for the beginner. They also come in three different speeds! For starting out you should probably stick to medium.
