SHOOT FOR THE STARS!

Starting out in a small American YMCA in the late 19th century, basketball is now one of the most popular sports among young people. The squeak of trainers and dribbling of a ball still dominates sports halls, school gyms and urban courts the world over. It can be enjoyed by watching professional players in the British Basketball League, at local clubs and organised competitions or just playing hoops in the back garden. It offers a great workout, second to none camaraderie and challenges even the most strategic of thinkers.
